Mal Pauliet Tharjiath, 25, is charged with felony escaping from custody after he allegedly borrowed scissors to cut off his bracelet while at the Austin Public Library September 5.
Court documents say police found the tracking device in the children’s section of the library. Police checked Tharjiath’s home, as well as that of a family member, before finding him at another family member’s house.
